Belen and Thomas went back to Kuwait at the begining of November so Belen could earn some money and Thomas could start school (pre KG). Here is Thomas at the end of his 1st day in his Mums classroom.
It was a tiring first day (probably not helped by the fact that he had to be up at 6am!)

Tom celebrated his 3rd birthday in the vilaage. We invited those friends that were still around (most had gone back to Madrid/Avila as school had started) and a good time was had by all.

After my unfortunate accident I spent 3 weeks in the Clinico San Carlos hospital in Madrid. I had an operation to fit this frame on my leg.
four days after the operation they took off the bandages and let me go home.
Shortly after my release from hospital we went back to the village to begin my recuperation. We had a visit from Carolina & Jose Luis (plus Samuel and Diego), Beatriz and Jesus and Marimar & Pedro.

Two days before we were supposed to go to the UK I fell of a ladder in the village, which then fell on my leg and broke it quite badly. After an unpleasant trip ot the Avila ER we went to Madrid.

From April to June Tom went to Happy Chappies playgroup where he was very happy in the Tigers class. Here are some pictures of him at a birthday party held there as well as him playing.

Mum and dad came over for 10 days. As there isn´t much to see in Kuwait (they saw it all on the their last visit) we organised a trip on a dhow, a traditional Kuwaiti saling ship. Here they are with Doug and Zena, friends from school.
